He's the son of Spandau Ballet's Martin Kemp and former Wham! singer Shirlie Holliman.
And with singing talent running through his veins, it's no surprise that Roman Kemp has drawn on his famous parents advice after it was announced he will be joining The X Factor this year as their new digital presenter.
Celebrating the news, the 23-year-old radio DJ partied with the stars at a Massive Attack afterparty at 100 Wardour St on Friday night, as he shared his anticipation for the new gig.
'They think they'l be at bootcamp: Roman also admitted his parents (here in November 2011) want to appear on the show given that he'll now be a part of it
He signed a record deal at the age of 15 with Universal Music and then went on to model for the likes of ASOS and Topshop.
His charm saw him elevate in the presenting field and he was quick to nab hosting duties on Nickelodeon and Capital FM, which he still fronts.
Roman also mentioned that he thrives off presenting live as it shows his audience that he's 'still human' and it is that outlook which will help him succeed as the digital expert on the Simon Cowell spearheaded singing show.
